Hello everybuddies!
So it's a brand new day, and brand new gaming adventures. I overslept a little (well maybe not so little), so my gaming today started fairly late. I decided to give a first shot to Real Racing 3. As I wrote yesterday, I'm currenly going through Exclusive Series, in Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II (yes, that's a mouthful) and BMW M3 GTS. I managed secure some nice wins in both cars - especially an epic comeback from the very last place to the lead in Indianapolis cup driving BMW M3 GTS. Other wins included Mount Panorama cup, speed record at Nurburgring, and speed snap at Red Bull Ring Morning - all while driving the Mercedes-Benz.At the time of writing this I decided to play some Need for Speed Shift, but at this very moment we had a blackout in the whole building! Now that's what I call a bad luck. Waiting for the power to come back and noticing I still had a decent battery life on my phone, I decided to go back to Real Racing 3 for a little while. I won after quite an entertaining race at Daytona as a part of Mercedes-Benz 190E Exclusive Series.
Electricity came back shortly, and I could start my Need for Speed Shift training. What I'm doing for my driving practice is I pick a car, fully upgrade it and then take it for 5 runs on every track available in the game. I note all my times in a notebook, so I can trace my progress, and I'm doing this for every car in the game. It's an intense training, but one that I hope will bring some results. As of now, I have finished all my races in fully upgraded Mazda RX-8 (yseterday I completed Spa GP, Tokyo Circuit, Tokyo Club, Willow Springs GP, and Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile) and with well over one million in bank (the game give you credits and EXP even for quick races), I bought and upgraded Audi S3. My goal - aside from learning how to drive well - is compare all the cars. One of my future plans for Racing Spirit Youtube channel is reviewing cars as they appear in different games, as well as one specific game.
Wth that done, I decided to watch some fellow racing Youtubers' video, one particular being Viperconcept, who delivers a really funny text commentary - the thing that I tested myself for my channel. Then I visited gg.deals to see if there's some good price drops for the games (I can honestly recommend this site for every cost-concious gamers, it's simply awesome). There's actually a Fanatical game sale going right now with Project CARS going for 4.49 euros. To me, it's a steal. What else? I played some Half Life 2 wih my friend Karol, and then played some more Real Racing, winning a couple of challenges, and spectacularly failing at one of them. I'm actually saving up for a new wheel for my PC and Xbox One (which I am als nci planning to buy, because of Forza reasons :) ). Nothing to say about my current Tracer Zonda, but... well, it's crappy, and the pedals don't work. So a nice Thrustmaster could go a long way. Especially given what kind of YT channel I'm making.
So what's next for Racing Spirit in the immidiate future? Need for Speed Shift, episode 12 ;) And that about it for this entry. Stay tuned and stay safe.

After Hiatus
Hello everybuddies.
First of all, I'd like to deeply apologize for lack of entries for the last month. I just couldn't get myself together to write anything, and I figured that those posts shouldn't be a thing I have to force myself to write - so, there's hiatus. I wasn't really sure for how long this hiatus would go, so I decided against promising anything. And so, after a little more than a month, I'm back writing another entry of this gamer diary of mine. What happened when I was away from writing? I'll begin with my Youtube channel, Racing Spirit.

As of writing this blog post, my channel stands at 21 subscribers, which - while maybe not spectacular - is something I cherish. My Test Drive Unlimited videos went on a hiatus, and to be honest, they're most likely gonna undergo a major reboot, to match the current direction of the channel. As of now, pretty much all content on the channel is my Need for Speed Shift series with my voice commentary. Current format of my videos is the result of much of experimentation I did throughout the last month - it went from text commentary with next to no editing aside from text, to post-recorded voice commentary, which I found to be the most comfortable with. Aside from racing game walkthrough series with mild storytelling attached to it, I plan a few more type of videos, which I will share with you at he later date. I'll just say that they're gonna take much more time and work to do, but I feel they're gonna be that much rewarding.
Changing topics to what I've been playing lately, I've been doing some intense driving training in Need for Speed Shift, and Dirt Rally 2.0 with my Tracer Zonda - cheap, but beggars can't be chosers - steering wheel. For that purpose, I started noting my times in a notebook, so I can observe my progress. So far it seems to do it's job. What else? Together with my friend Karol, we're knees deep into Half-Life 2. So far I'm loving it for engaging story and gameplay - Alyx is an awesome NPC companion. After this we're planning to play Quake, and check out Battlefield series (which I have thanks to Origin Access). Together with some of my other friends, we started playing Beyond Good & Evil, an amazing action-adventure from the creator of Rayman - they are loving it. Together with... myself, I'm continuing Real Racing 3 playthrough. I'm currently going through the Exclusive Series with Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution and BMW M3 GTS, which I'm planning to beat before going any further with main challenges. I'm playing with manual throttle and brakes, which gives more control and better times. The reason for it is simple - gold coins I need to upgrade other cars. I haven't been playing any Asphalt 8 since the beggining of a hiatus, and I currently don't plan to go back to it.
I also created my Twitter account where I follow some of the other racing youtubers.
And that's about it for today, I'll write much more in the next entry. Stay tuned and stay safe.
